Gloria Edwards was a Medically complex patient that was seen at Kingston of Ashland for several weeks. She was so weak when she came in she could not move without assistance. Now she is walking by herself and, after checking her with a home assessment, she was safe to go home.
Mrs Edwards states, “The therapists were very friendly and always encouraged me. They kept me on track and definitely helped me so I could go back home. I really enjoyed being here and I would highly recommend Kingston of Ashland because of the nursing, therapy and everyone who works here. It’s a very clean facility and everyone is nice.
I would definitely come back here if I need more help especially for therapy. I want to thank all my therapists that helped me. They are all wonderful and I really don’t know what else to say except THEY ARE THE BEST.”
From the first day I entered Kingston, I’ve been met with nothing but positive sights and sounds and I continue to be pleased with what I experience. The facility itself is bright, warm and welcoming. Of equal and perhaps greater importance is the fact that whoever I encounter at the reception desk, in the halls, or at the nurses’ station puts forth a very welcoming presence, smiling warmly and making direct eye contact when speaking with me. Looking directly at someone when conversing with them is one of the greatest signs of respect one can show to another.
To my delight, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I got out of the car from the hospital until I went home for home health care recovery.
Everyone (PT, OT, STNA, Dietary) had a great attitude every day. My experience at Kingston was more than I ever expected from a nursing home/rehab center.
I can't tell you how much I was really impressed with this facility and the staff here. You guys are terrific! I could not have found a better place for my brother's care.
The entire staff at Kingston of Ashland are a pleasure to work with and they make it enjoyable to come to work. I have never worked for a company that makes me feel like family. I love being a part of something larger that makes a difference. I love that everyone cares and that there is flexibility when needed. I also love that my job challenges me every day and there is never a dull moment. Management at Kingston of Ashland are caring, knowledgeable, and social. Kingston gives me the opportunity to learn all the time and use my skills and knowledge as well as push myself in areas that I am unsure of myself. I am so glad to be a part of such a great team.
They say life takes you to unexpected places, but love always brings you home. Thankfully, Kingston of Ashland is just that for me; Home. At 27 it took me a long time to find my niche in life. After some unforeseen events, and bouncing around in the career field I knew I wanted to be back working at a nursing home. I enjoyed the residents, the families, and knowing I could make an impact on someone’s life. Ending up at Kingston as a receptionist has truly been a blessing. From the moment I stepped foot in the building I felt welcomed. Working side by side with some amazing people felt more like family to me, all working towards the same common goal. I can honestly say that every day I look forward to going to work. The road may have been long, and rather bumpy at times, but I am truly overjoyed that it lead me to Kingston of Ashland.
They say "third time is a charm". I have come and gone from Kingston a couple of times in search of where I was supposed to be. This time I know that I have finally found "Home" in this beautiful city nestled in the heart of the rolling hills of Ashland. Here we are blessed to hear the occasional sound of a horse and buggy and see the haze from the warm air rising into the cool autumn sky as it uncovers the beauty of fall on the horizon. Something bigger drew my back to Kingston this last time. Was it the people that call Kingston of Ashland home, was it the home grown team members that care for the folks that live here or was it the city of Ashland...I don't know but it all drives me to love my job and I have truly found my calling and where I know God wants me to be serving the people that call this wonderful place "Home". I am so proud to be part of this amazing team.
I love coming to work everyday because I love to see the residents and when you are in a bad mood a hug from the residents makes your day brighter. I have some wonderful co-workers that make my job easier because we work as a team.
I love Kingston because we work together as an awesome team - all departments- and not only are dedicated to caring for our residents/patients but each other as well. Kingston cares about the community and is willing to do what is needed to do what is best and right for the patient in this very challenging medical world. Finally, from the day I walked in the doors for the hiring open house, I am constantly amazed at how nice and clean it looks and smells day in day out. I swore I would never work in a "nursing home" until I walked in Kingston's doors - I walked out saying THIS is where I want to work.
I have had the pleasure of working for Kingston for the past 25 years in a variety of roles. Kingston challenges me with opportunities to grow and develop professionally. To me, Kingston's Philosophy, Mission and Approach is the solid and secure platform that anchors me in an ever-changing industry.
I love Kingston because of the Mission: "We, the employees of Kingston HealthCare Company, are committed to setting an example for others to follow by being honest, respectful, friendly and encouraging everyone to be their best."
Kingston is more than a place to go to work. It is a philosophy of care, a way of life if you will. The way we treat our residents and patients cannot be taught. It comes from within. As with many things in life “like attracts like”. We are a group of people drawn together to the act of supporting and encouraging those we care for and each other. We find strength from our passion for compassion and positive energy that we can create even in someone’s darkest hour. We are more than our beautiful locations, and a logo. We are a frame of mind and a desire to good.
I love Kingston because our passion and goal is to provide excellent customer service to every patient and resident! I absolutely adore our senior community and love being able to be of service...working for Kingston enables me to give back to those who have already given so much themselves! They deserve excellent customer service and nothing less! Kingston goes above and beyond in ensuring my own personal success, giving me training and tools that allow me to be the best Kingston ambassador I can be! That's why I love Kingston!
Everyone is treated fairly from the employees to the residents. It is a caring community and family.
I love Kingston because of the heartwarming staff who work here. I also get a great sense of pride helping others through my work.
