The wellness program at Kingston of Vermilion offers daily exercise classes to the surrounding community. Pool classes are held in our heated therapy pool and we offer a variety of levels daily. We also offer one-on-one appointments for individualized exercise with our Wellness Coordinator.
Water Aerobics: This 45 minute class ranges from moderate to high impact water resistant exercises which include high intensity cardio intervals, water weight toning and calisthenics that focus on building endurance, muscular strength and strengthening the cardiovascular system while having fun! This class promotes weight loss, muscle tone and improves over-all physical condition.
Gentle Water Exercise: This 45 minute class focuses on muscular strength, balance, stretch components and improving cardiovascular fitness. Exercises are modified based on individual goals and abilities. This class will improve balance, coordination, and strength.
Water Boot Camp: This 45 minute class will focus on exercises to condition the cardiovascular system. Don’t let the name scare you though, modifications for lower intensity will be given when needed.
Water Combo: This 60 minute class will begin with water walking exercises to get the muscles warmed up and then finish with some light water yoga exercises. The focus is light cardiovascular exercises and exercises that will promote flexibility and range of motion.
Circuit Fitness: This 45 minute class consists of calisthenics, body weight exercises, resistance exercises and light plyometrics designed to improve overall physical fitness. A variety of equipment will be used to condition both the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems. Modifications will be given based on participants needs and abilities.
Strength and Balance: This 45 minute land class will include exercises designed to improve muscular strength and balance. It will include both body weight exercises and exercises using bands, weights and exercise balls to add difficulty. Modifications will be given based on participants needs and abilities.
