As we continue to implement new daily routines and protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and staff, we know that some of you have experienced delayed responses from our management teams. Please know that your inquiries and feedback are a priority, and that each day we are increasing our bandwidth to be able to follow up with family and friends of residents as promptly as possible.
We are monitoring all restrictions and safety protocols set forth by CMS on a hourly basis to ensure immediate compliance at all of our buildings. You may also consider visiting the CMS COVID 19 resource website for updates that pertain to Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities.
Our excellent staff are in great spirits and inspired to provide an enriching quality of life for all of our residents despite some of the challenges that our temporary safety protocols require.
Routine is very important to our residents, and we are happy to report that we have been able to implement new creative ways to provide a sense of normalcy and social and spiritual engagement inside our communities.
Our staff have been diligent about going ‘door to door’ to check in with residents and provide fun new ways to spend quality time. Mobile happy hours, sing-alongs and dance performances are just a couple of the ways we are creating fun and festivity.
We have ordered tablets and other devices to help families Skype and FaceTime with their loved ones. If you would like to participate, please reach out to our front desk to help coordinate. We also invite families to stay connected through good old fashioned snail mail, and to follow our Facebook pages to keep updated on what is happening inside of our communities.
The resolve and cameraderie shown by our staff and residents during this trying time is nothing short of inspiring. The sense of #inthistogether cannot be more poignant than what we are experiencing daily in our communities. We feel incredibly blessed that this temporary reality has offered a provoking reminder as to the unique capacity we can impact the world as caregivers and why we so passionately aspire to dedicate our lives fully to this profession.
